I don’t know if you have seen the news regarding this new rival to Cydia, developed by Infini Dev Team, Lima will offer a strong competition to Cydia. As you have seen in the title maybe you are wondering what browser-based means. Well to put it in simple words instead of using an application to manage all the packages that you could install with Cydia you will use Safari on your device as an interface to install third party apps and extensions.

I’ve seen a lot of people trying this new alternative, even though Lima is in the beta phase it has a nice and clean interface compared to his counterpart. Like most people who tried this I was impressed how fast the loading of packages is. Lima uses two servers and a data base server and it can use HTTPS. From my opinion Lima has a lot of catching to do. In this beta stage you can encounter some bugs or some problems regarding packages. For now in some parts one is better than the other and vice versa but let’s not forget that Lima is in beta stage.

So my overall opinion if you want to try something new I can suggest Lima.
